LAND NEAR SHEBSTER WTW, SHEBSTER, THURSO, CAITHNESS, KW14 7RD

Vacant Land - 1.01 Ha (2.51 Acres)

Description

The site is almost rectangular (205m x 50m approx) and is bounded by a public road on the north and open moorland to the south. The majority of the site is delineated by a post and wire fence and a single metal vehicle gate allows access directly from the public road. The site was partly used a quarry and the westernmost end still shows evidence of stone quarrying with mounds of spoil, pits and shallow rock-faces. A pond has developed in one of the low-lying pits.

There is a free flowing ditch running through the site and the area to the east of the ditch has been levelled, leaving a good hardstanding on which there has been some fly tipping. There is a small concrete block building towards the eastern end of the site (4m x 3m x 3m high approx) with block glass windows, a wooden door and asbestos sheet lining. Mains electricity and water are both available.
