Description
The site is near the junction of Broich Road and King Street. Starting at the King Street end, there is Ellard House, former offices with cement finished walls and now in a derelict condition. Next to this is a two storey house with a single storey extension to the side. It has stone construction, twin cantilevered first floor bays and a slate roof. The house was occupied a few years ago but is now poor condition. Next to this is a road giving access to the rear of the buildings. On the other side of the access road is a single storey stone building that formed two cottages. Again this is in poor condition.
The site is identified as contaminated land as defined by the Environmental Protection Act 1990. It was part of a gas works. Reports on the site are available and interested parties are recommended to obtain the title pack that will contain relevant documents.
